Do You Cut Glass?

Wednesday, December 19th, 2012 | posted by: Chip

I have heard more than one customer recently ask if we cut glass to size. The answer is “yes”!  We cut glass every day.  The next question to follow is, ” how long does it take for me to get a piece cut and can can I get it today”?  In most cases, we have the glass type the customer is looking for in stock and can cut it the same day and in many cases while the customer waits.

When a customer sees us cut the glass they almost always will say, “you sure make that look easy”!  For most types of annealed (regular) glass it is easy due to the experience of the glass cutter.  In fact straight line glass cutting is one of the easiest things we do.  Cutting glass to a specific shape with curves or fabricating glass by drilling holes in it and cutting notch outs and cut outs for electrical receptacles and light switches is a great deal more complicated and not in the “easy” category.  Yet we do it every day to meet the needs of our customers.  Grinding and polishing the edges of glass, while not really difficult, requires a deft touch and a distinguishing eye to produce a clean and finished look to glass.

When you need a piece of glass cut, fabricated, and with polished edges think of us.  We do it every day!
